Friday Faves

I came across so many good resources, articles, and reminders this week! It was hard to choose what to share…

I have to start with this convicting article,  but as one of my dear and most honest friend tells me often, “put your big girl pants on!”

  1. Cultivating a Heart for Missions:  Radical · Blog · Cultivating a Heart for Missions in our Kids

This…. It all starts with us! Are you excited about sharing Jesus with your friends? Do you talk about Jesus and missions in your home?  Is there a map in your home and do you talk about the world around us? Do you fix “weird” food? Do you stop and think of others and invite them in to your world? If we aren’t modeling missions, chances are our children won’t grasp hold of it either… that’s convicting to the core…

So in light of that….

2. Who doesn’t LOVE all things maps and globes… Here are some fun ways to use them in your decor at home!   There are other ideas over on our On Mission Moms Pinterest Page too!

3. You can also begin to introduce yummy food from all around the world to your little ones too. One of my FAVORITE dishes from my time in North Africa was Chicken Tagine and Zaalok.  Hint, Hint… I noticed eggplant was super cheap last week in our new grocery store, Lidl… gosh, I love that place!

I’ll be sharing more international recipes to introduce to your family too! We love to cook crazy things around our house and yes, our girls LOVE most of it… not all…

4. Missional Women Website & App – I’m still discovering all the fun things this website and app has to offer! I’m also excited about starting their 31 Days of Evangelism focus because if I’m being completely honest, I need to reset my heart and refocus my mind and my words on sharing Jesus more and more. I’m excited about being intentional over these next 31 days to break down barriers and engage in gospel conversations. Who have you shared Jesus with this past week? Do you have five friends who you are engaging in gospel conversations?

What resources or articles have you seen this week? Share them over on our On Mission Moms facebook page so that we can learn and encourage one another this week!
